Earsela (Kathy)'s Story

Life Going to make this short and sweet. Married in March 1978, Had 3 beautiful children, Jason-December 1979, Megan-October 1982 and Tony-February 1984. (Kids are now 28, 25 and 24.) Divorced in 1987, Moved to Southern Califonia in 1988, Worked full-time for the Monticeto Apartments in Housekeeping, as well as part-time at Christmas with UPS 1988-1989, Worked full time for Los Angeles County Animal Control 1990-1997, Went back to school 1997-1998, Bought my home 1998, Went to work at Desert Haven Enterprises as a Job Developer for persons who are developmentally disabled 1998-present, 1998 met the man of my dreams, Scott! My kids graduated from High School, Still working full time. Jason made me a grandma in March 2003, baby boy Ian Michael Burcina and then again in March 2007 ano...Expand for more
ther baby boy Austin James Burcina. When at home I enjoy quilting, gardening and Nascar, "Gas On- Robbie Gordon" and being with Scott and our 3 doggies. Other than going from a blonde to a red head I am happy and living life to its fullest."Life is Good". P.S. And enjoying being a Grandma! Workplace My years of working at Desert Haven Enterprises as a Job Developer have been my most rewarding years of working. We are a non profit organization where I help people who are developementally disabled find jobs in the community. The greatest reward of my job is finding that one individual their "Dream Job". I find my job fun as well as challenging. I love my co-workers they are a hoot!! My ultimate goal is to work up into a counseling position working with these individuals. Some day!!
